Music Video – Post Break Up Sex – The Vaccines

Duration – 2.56 minutes.

Audience – The main target audience is males and females aged 16-25 who listen to the indie genre of music. Alongside an older audience who also like to listen to that genre aswell as maybe relating to the lyrics. The video will not be targeted at any one under the age of 16 for 2 reasons. 1. due to its name – Post Break-up Sex and 2. because the legal age of consenting sex is 16 and over. Some of the themes illustrated through the video such as alcohol, drugs and sex will not be appropriate for people under this age.

Resume – The main narrative in our video is the idea that it is the morning after a party and the main protagonist (Played by Sam Massey-Edwards) is walking around the house and each room he enters plays a different scenario in a different location. In the bedrooms there will be two people in bed looking awkward and somewhat depressed as if they are regretting the actions they have taken the previous night. Other people are shown to be passed out throughout the house, others in the kitchen drinking coffee trying to recover from the night’s events. The video is a performance piece therefore the main protagonist will be lip-syncing throughout the video.

Suggested Elements – We are going to use 4 main locations in our video. They consist of 4 houses where a range of rooms will be used. Rooms such as the bedrooms will be repeated for each house that will be provided by the cast and crew including -

• Caitlin O’shea’s house - Bedroom & Living Room.
  
• Jake Perry-Gardner’s house – Bathroom.
  
• Yemi Moses house – Cast member.
• Eloise Bickle’s house – Kitchen.

We will also be using lots of props for our video production so we can create the ‘after math’ atmosphere. The main products that will be used for are props are –

• Empty beer bottles
• Empty drink cans
• Red cups
• Blue cups
• Cigarettes (both herbal and natural)
• Baggies
• Oregano
• Sherbet
• Pizza
• Pizza boxes
• Magazines
• Light sabers (toys)
• Whip (toys)

We also have ideas for main costumes that will be worn by the our main character and chosen extras –

• Pirate hat
• Cowboy hat
• Robot mask
• Army uniform
• Boxing gloves and Thai fighting kit.
• Casual Wear (Creased, Not worn properly and possibly covered in stains..

Filming - We want to get the filming done as quickly as possible as we do not want people dropping out as actors. This will postpone filming for longer which will waste time in finding new actors and actresses to play as extras and main cast members. We hope to spend two to three weeks worth of filming but this seems a task in it selfs as due to the number of actors/actresses in our production we need to make sure we all are able to film together. The rest of the duration will be spent collecting our footage and with the rest of the time remaining spent on editing the production and the creation of other utilities such as posters and CD covers.
